Short Sales Strategy

We have heard many investors talking about a new strategy for investing. Some investors are making offers on short sales right now because they know that the deal will not close for 4-5 months. They are writing contracts knowing that the bank will not make a decision for awhile which means they won’t have to close the sale until late Winter. Closing the short sales in late Winter means the buyer will not have to carry the property through all of the negative cash flow months.

Short Sale Strategy used by recent investors…write contract now, wait 4 months to close, avoid a large portion of negative cash flow and then close before the next rental season.
